As mobile adoption continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important to track and analyze data across devices in order to help us better understand our users. Thankfully, Google's recent update provides us with the ability to see web and app data in the same reporting view.
This streamlined view combines all data sent to a particular Google Analytics property in a single reporting view, and provides a great overview of your marketing efforts. If you to wish separate this data similar to before, you can set up a filter to customize what you see.
There are two big changes to the names in Google Analytics: First, the Visitors web metric and Active Users app metric are now unified under the same name, Users. And second, Visits are now referred to as Sessions everywhere in all of Google Analytics.
